The Gibson Trail is a 6.8 miles route through London collections. It connects 13 works by Gibson that are on permanent display, more than 30 works in the exhibition John Gibson RA. A British sculptor in Rome in the Royal Academy and more than 150 works in our database. The map indicates the fastest walking route. However, it is suggested to use public transport in order to make your trip as comfortable as possible. Please note the opening hours of the institutions before your start and keep in mind that some of the museums might only have restricted access. When you’re on the Gibson Trail you may notice labels placed in front of many of the works. However, in some cases, as in churches or palaces, it was felt that labels were inappropriate for these setting.
